A new work in progress...

These are panels of a new piece I am working on...the inspiration is women and how we look at ourselves and how we think others look at us. Some cover and hide, others flaunt, some embellish, and still others are sort of trying to figure it out.

I've only posted four of the panels, but there are 16 of them. The piece above has a "dress" of knitted wire.

I wasn't going to include any words on this piece, this is the exception. It says worth. I think women struggle with their own worth and the worth that society tells us we have.

I wanted to learn to knit just for this piece, so my friends Karen, Stacy, and Meeghan, all patiently helped me and supplied me with needles and yarn...and then I said I wanted to not only knit with yarn, but I also wanted to knit with wire. They know me well enough to pause for just a second, laugh loudly, and then help me out!!! They are the best!
