Old Postcards

This is a close-up view of a piece I made after buying postcards at an antique/flea market. I thought they were so pretty, they had been hand tinted and they have a texture to them, you can feel the design. I didn't want them to just sit in a box. I thought they should be on display.

I had a piece that my Mom made, showing me how to create chenille. So I thought it would work for the postcards...a combination of my history and someone else's together...out of the box and up on the wall.
